For me, vegan appetizer recipes will include a combination of vegan foods, such as vegan salads, vegan dips, vegan breads, and vegan snacks because that is what I have for my family to munch on when we are waiting for the rest of the family to arrive for a family gathering or dinner. It is our tradition to set out snacks for those who arrive early and on time to appease their appetite until dinner is served.

I enjoy eating, so vegan baking is a joy for me. I turn on some upbeat music and assemble my ingredients. It might just be a raw vegan recipe using an assortment of raw and sea-salted nuts with some dried fruit thrown in. It could be a favorite vegan salsa recipe to serve with some sea-salted chips.

I love to include fresh fruit and vegetables for quick healthy appetizers. I try to keep fresh seedless grapes, apples, melons, and strawberries in my refrigerator. I do use an apple cider vinegar rinse on my berries to prevent mold while in my refrigerator as soon as I can after returning from the grocery store. I rinse the grapes with cold water, take them off the vine, and place them in a large ziplock bag for easy access. I usually keep the melons intact until a day before I plan to serve them. I keep bananas available on my counter for smoothies.

I don’t mind buying an occasional vegetable tray at the grocery store because I can always use the leftover veggies in a stir-fry the next day. I do like to keep fresh asparagus, broccoli, carrots, celery, cucumber, onions, organic baby spinach, potatoes, squash, sweet peppers, and tomatoes in my refrigerator each week. I will also buy frozen yeast bread balls to make yummy bread treats for company.
